The firm was started by Robert C. Teipen on May 1, 1976, as a sole proprietorship. The first office was located in a bedroom of his home. On January 1, 1979, the firm rented office space at 920 N. Shadeland Avenue with two full time employees. On January 1, 1982, the firm moved to a new office at 1705 N. Shadeland Avenue with four employees. On January 1, 1985, the firm moved to 7260 Shadeland Station with five employees. On January 1, 1991, Scott Selanders was admitted as a shareholder in the firm. On December 1, 1995, the firm moved to 7340 E. 82nd Street with 10 employees. On January 1, 2002, Thomas G. Ayres and Michael A. Poynter were made shareholders in the firm.
On January 1, 2010 John “Jeff” Thomas and Jason Kieninger were made partners of the firm.
